With the Britax Vario 5Z ISOFIX Base, you are ready for four years of safety on the road. This modular base is compatible with the Baby-Safe PRO, the Baby-Safe 3 i-SIZE, the Baby-Safe CORE as well as the DUALFIX 5Z – and each seat installs on the base with just one click. The rotating feature allows you to turn each seat towards the car door, making it easy to place and harness your child. Additionally, the DualFix 5Z seat can be turned 360 degrees, allowing forward-facing travel when your child exceeds 15 months and 76cm.

Modular comfort and convenience
This modular base fits the Baby-Safe PRO as well as the Baby-Safe 3 i-SIZE and DualFix 5Z and accompanies your little one from their first ride home until four years. The seats are easily removed and installed with just one click. The easily accessible release button allows you to effortlessly pick up an infant carrier using the handle. The adjustable rebound bar provides additional leg space when travelling rear-facing.

Always set for cosiness
In cars with inclined vehicle seats, your little one's head might tip forward when harnessed in the seat. This is why the Vario 5Z can be adjusted to six different positions to provide the best combination of safety and comfort. With infant carriers it is best to set the correct angle before installing the seat. With the DualFix 5Z seat you can adjust the angle on the go for a more comfortable position when your toddler falls asleep.

Turn for easy access - the rotatable base
All compatible Britax seats for the Vario 5Z Base can be turned towards the open car door so you can place and harness your child with ease. Whilst it is recommended keeping your child rear-facing for as long as possible, you can easily rotate the base 180 degrees for the DualFix 5Z`s forward-facing option once your child exceeds 15 months and 76cm.

Independent ISOFIX connectors
The Vario 5Z Base installs effortlessly thanks to its ISOFIX connectors which can be operated independently. You are fully in control, they are fast and safe to connect without damaging your vehicle's seats. Now you're ready to get on with your day.

Installs correctly every time
Thanks to an audible click you can be sure that the Baby-Safe PRO is installed correctly every time. Additionally, a visual indicator on the release button offers extra peace of mind.

Height adjustable support leg
Install the Vario 5Z Base safely in your car using the adjustable support leg. The leg fixes to your car's floor to provide extra stability and minimise tilting movements of the car seat. An easy-to-read indicator shows you when the support leg is positioned firmly on your vehicle’s floor, making it effortless to fit correctly. 

Plenty of space for little legs
Give your little one added protection in an accident: the rebound bar of the Vario 5Z Base helps prevent the car seat from tilting during a collision. The bar has been optimised so it is shorter and more compact to offer extra leg space - perfect for a long journey. 

Easy storage
As parents of young children have lots of baby items to store Britax have designed this base with convenient storage in mind. The support leg folds up so you can pack it away in your car boot or at home. By folding the leg under the seat this also deactivates the security beep from the support leg to provide a peaceful storage solution.
